We understand church life

Because it's our daily life

At FAMGO, we are designers and also practicing Christians. We attend church weekly, study the Bible, and serve in ministry roles locally and abroad.

We understand the challenges, responsibilities, and realities of church life because it's a part of our everyday lives. We know that:

The message on any church website must be rooted in the Word of God, not flashy marketing gimmicks

The questions and concerns first-time visitors have before attending a church service

The website must serve both Truth seekers and regular members (and easy to manage for the staff)

The Great Commission of preaching the gospel to all the nations of the world

A diverse group of people stand in a church, holding hymnals. They appear focused and engaged, suggesting reverence and unity during worship.
Challenges most churches face

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone

Your website ranks too low on Google for new visitors to find you

No increase in church attendance despite having a website or social media presence

The website doesn’t work well on mobile devices (responsive design)

The website design looks and feels outdated and no longer reflects who you are as a church

How the design process goes

Regular check-ins at each project milestone

At FAMGO, you work directly with the senior designer building your website. Not through layers of account managers or junior designers.

1. Free consultation call

This phase is to understand the unique challenges your church is facing and what your short-term and long-term goals are. We listen to your needs, your context, and your concerns.

2. Custom proposal & project estimate

After our call, we’ll present a statement of work outlining what we recommend. Once we agree on the plan and quote, we kick off the project.

3. Project kickoff with research & discovery

We gather insights through stakeholder conversations, survey tools, website data (if available), and benchmarking. This ensures the work we do is rooted in real context, not guesswork.

4. Sitemap & wireframe

Sitemap and wireframe is like the blueprint and scaffolds of a website. It's like building a house on rock rather than sand. The structure is built based on the insights from the research & discovery. We make sure the structure and layout is correct before we worry about the design of each room. We design with care and build with usability in mind.

Think of this as the blueprint for the site — a solid structure built before design begins. It ensures everything is organised and purposeful.

5. Design & build

This is where most people associate with website design". Now we visualize our wireframes, really designing each "room". This is where we start "chopping down" the tree. We design and build on the Webflow platform for security, reliability, and user-friendly interface.

6. Website launch

Once QAs are done, we officially launch the website! Rest assured, we will monitor and continue to support the website for 30 days if anything goes wrong. This is also when we train your staff on how to manage your website from there on.

7. Ongoing website support (optional)

If you're really too busy and want only focus on the ministry, we can take care of your website at FAMGO. Our services include ensuring your website security, uptime, and SEO and conversion optimization to keep your church website either maintain or keep climbing to the top of the search results.

Church website design FAQs

If you’re considering a new church website, you probably have questions about cost, timelines, and what the process looks like. Here are some of the most common questions we hear from pastors and ministry leaders.

How long does a church website design project take?

Most church websites take 4-8 weeks from kickoff to launch. This includes research, design, development, content creation, and staff training. Rush timelines are available for an additional fee if you have a specific deadline.

How much does church website design cost?

The cost depends on the size and complexity of your church website. Smaller church websites are typically more affordable, and larger churches with multiple ministries or campuses require more planning and structure. Please refer to our pricing section.

What if we need changes after the website launches?

We provide 30 days of post-launch support included in every project. During this time, we'll make adjustments, fix any issues, and provide additional training as needed. After that, you can manage updates yourself (we train your staff), or we can provide ongoing management for $150/month.

What are the ongoing costs after the website launches?

The main ongoing cost is Webflow hosting, which runs $14-23/month (you pay Webflow directly, not us). This includes:

  • Fast, secure hosting
  • SSL certificate (secure connection)
  • 99.9% uptime
  • Automatic backups
  • Global CDN

Optional: If you want us to handle updates, management is $150/month. Most churches handle updates themselves.

Will our staff be able to update the website without technical knowledge?

Absolutely. Webflow's content management system is very user-friendly—if you can use Google Docs, you can manage your Webflow site. We provide comprehensive training for 2-3 staff members and create video tutorials for common tasks like:

  • Adding sermon recordings
  • Updating event calendars
  • Creating new blog posts
  • Adding ministry pages
  • Updating photos and text
Can you integrate with our existing church management software?

Yes. We build church websites on Webflow that are simple and practical to manage. After launch, we provide training so your staff or volunteers can confidently update sermons, events, and ministry information.

Will our staff or volunteers be able to update the website?

Yes. We build church websites on Webflow that are simple and practical to manage. After launch, we provide training so your staff or volunteers can confidently update sermons, events, and ministry information.

Do we own the website, or are we locked into FAMGO?

You own your website completely. It's built on Webflow, which means you can manage it yourself or hire anyone else to work on it. You're never locked in. We just ask that you keep our small credit link in the footer (which you can remove if needed).

Do you only work with churches in Toronto?

We’re based in Toronto, but we work with churches across Canada and beyond. Since most of the church website design process is collaborative online, location rarely limits us.

What makes FAMGO different from hiring a cheaper freelancer?

Great question. You'll find cheaper options, but here's what you get with FAMGO:

  • Senior designers with 15+ years professional experience each
  • We're practicing Christians who understand church culture and terminology
  • Human-centred design process that reduces risk and ensures quality
  • Ongoing support and training
  • Portfolio of successful church websites with measurable results
  • Direct communication with the people doing the work

Cheaper often means inexperienced, offshore teams, or agencies using junior designers.
