Church Website Design in Toronto: True Jesus Church Case Study

Project description

The True Jesus Church in Toronto's website was originally built on a WordPress template from the early 2010s. However, due to the template's limitations, numerous workarounds and "hacks" had to be devised over the years to meet evolving website needs. The site also relied heavily on third-party plugins, which, like most WordPress plugins, became obsolete after a few years.

While every user we interviewed praised the website's content, a recurring challenge was its navigational complexity. Users found the content "jumbled together," as one user described. The focus of this church website redesign was to create a tailor-made solution. The main objectives were to create clear user paths, reduce website maintenance effort, and rebuild the information architecture.

True Jesus Church is built on the foundation of the church in the apostolic times. The church believes in observing the Sabbath and receiving the Holy Spirit as the guarantee of inheriting the kingdom of heaven.
